I am tired of snark.
Social media is filled with it. Television is filled with it.
Movies are filled with it. The printed and digital worlds are filled with it. Life is filled with it. I
am guilty of it too, more often than I would like.
Which is why I love this drawing from Ruby. A 9-year-old
year-old who just may not exactly had things the way she wanted the last few
years, she wrote/drew this last weekend with no prompting. It's her own personal word cloud with all the things that "are in my brain now" and includes things
that won’t be there next week, and maybe were even gone an hour after she wrote
them down.
But it was in the moment, and nothing but real. And it contains no snark.
Here's to Ruby and her beautiful mind.
