You can have your Tunnel of Love, your roller coaster, your Ferris Wheel and your Merry Mixer. The greatest, and most underrated carnival ride is the Tilt-A-Whirl; a ride that never fails to take me to the edge, push me off, and ultimately end my riding for the day.
It happened again on Monday at Trimper's Amusements in Ocean City, MD. You will see that Jack is riding alone (for about the 10th time that afternoon) in the photo above. That's because I was a one and done, as usual.
Looking tame and timid in the shadow of the bigger and fancier rides, the Tilt-A-Whirl invariably points at me, laughs and says, 'you can't handle me."
On Monday, the Tilt-A-Whirl won again.
