April is the cruelest month, according to T.S. Eliot.
Sure feels that way around these parts.
But lo and behold, look what has just arrived from the great Scottish band Teenage Fanclub, with full new album on the way in June – just in time to chase away the summertime blues.
Ironically, British author Nick Hornby likens the Fanclub sound to the overall essence of summer: Bright, fresh-sounding, airy, glorious ringing guitars and chord changes full of hope.
Nothing here not to like, and perhaps, just perhaps, just what the doctor ordered.
