The 70s: And I've seen dreams that came from the heavenly skies above

I’ve written many times of just how evocative music can be. But, like the Geico commercial says, everybody knows that.

And I especially like how evocative music is of other music.

Case in point: I was listening to this overlooked gem the other day....

....and it reminded me of ELO (the good side of ELO), which reminded me of the all-time best ELO song, and I remembered that the best ELO song was originally done by The Move, and I remembered The Move’s parting shot, the greatest 3 (!) – track single in history.

And, all-in-all, several of the best songs of the 70s.

I will post them all for your, and my, enjoyment.

I am especially fond of this "live" version of "California Man," which hits all the right notes, in every sense.

And I will throw in my other favorite Move song, which dances on the edges of prog-rock but never quite crosses the demarcation line.
