Just resting in the Afterglow

As I continue my Ronnie Lane rediscovery efforts, I present today's installment of The Best Song You've (Probably) Never Heard Before.

"Afterglow (Of Your Love)" is the high point in the stellar career of The Small Faces: brilliant Steve Marriott vocals, the always glorious Hammond B-3 through a Leslie speaker, and just about the the most spectacular chorus ever heard in a rock and roll song.

And I also love the false ending.

Just about perfect, and one of the greatest records of all time.
