You know, the one that you used to shoot yourself, and your party, in the foot.
I hate writing about politics. First of all, I never feel well-versed enough to be coherent. And two, it's such a vile cesspool of disgustingness that I worry that I will never get the stench off of my computer keyboard.
But....
The level of discourse in the political realm of today is highly disturbing.
It's not so much that Wilson displayed the boorishness and incivility of this summer's town hall meetings. It's that he doesn't know what the hell he is talking about.
"H.R. 3200: Sec 246 NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States."

I just do not get the stupidity that seems to be inherent in our society. The stupidity that wants to deny a basic right to all citizens -- health care. Every other advanced nation on planet Earth does it, and nearly all of them enjoy far greater health than we do. And they spend less doing so.
It's getting so I don't recognize this country anymore. These tea baggers are suddenly yelling about government spending and the president lying. Have they been under a rock for the last eight years while the former occupant of the white house ("white" being a crucial word for these folks -- see below) poured endless dollars into a war that he started with reasoning that wasn't exactly true? By the way, that's another way of saying he "lied."

But it's clear that none of that matters to the segment of the population following Rush, Hannity, Beck, et al. Memo to all of those listeners: You are just going to have to deal with the fact that Obama is Black. Because I have a sneaking suspicion that that fact is behind a great deal of this nonsense.
